Bitnation: opportunities for the second realm

One of the things necessary for a second realm is contract and other legal services without the need to relying on the state to provide them. Bitnation could be one such source

Bitnation  is a Decentralized Borderless voluntary Nation. it relies on blockchain and peer to peer technology to provide governance services. Bitnation is still in development and adding features. thier website currently offers the services of a blockchain based public notary as well as an emergency ID.

A new service in development is Pangea which will create a marketplace for legal services letting people create contracts or provide arbitration service. One of the its central features will be a built-in reputation system and a system to reward a good reputation. it is also very secure using mesh-networking, end to end encryption, and ID are pseudoanonymous

all these services would be a great help in building the second realm not just on a local level but a global one as well

The Second realm and open source insurgency

While listening to liberty under attack series “building the second realm” a thought kept occurring to me about how a second realm would be useful in being apart of or creating an opensource  insurgency. The more I thought of  this  the more i believe that the second realm could be treated as a opensource insurgency itself

An opensource insurgency (A term first coined and described by John Robb in his blog (Global Guerrillas ) and his book Brave New War ) is  an organizational method by which a large collection of small, superempowered groups can work together to take on much larger foes. The precipitants in an opensource insurgency are called global guerrillas despite the name a global guerrilla does not have to be violent there goal unlike guerrillas of old is not to take over a state but to hollow it out. A hollow state has all the appearance of a real state,  a military,  collects taxes but has no real power over most of its territory. this is preferred to failed state because it prevents other state from intervening.

As anarchists, voluntarist, Vonuist this would be considered a great step forward for in the effort to eliminate The State. this is why i think those building the second realm should look to the rules for growing an opensource insurgency to help it succeed.

Starting an OSW

the enemy (The State)  is already clear but the goal has to be made clear while ending The State is the eventual goal building a second realm is the more immediate goal. There are already many demonstration of the states weakness and the  viability second realm

Rules for open source insurgency

Most of these rules should be familiar to anyone with an understanding of the open source movement and the second realm  but the first rule break networks or disrupt the state ability to coordinate and bring its power to bare. this means to go on the offensive against the state in some way this can mean Simon Jestering, citizen journalism, filming cops, Anti-government  . but it can also mean figuring out ways of breaking their control  such as cryptocurrency or cryptography.
